WHAT IS A HACKINTOSH?

A Hackintosh is a PC computer made up of specially chosen parts, which can run Apple’s OSX operating system.
Setting them up is tricky, but there are many, many resources dedicated to building and setting up Hackintoshes.
This can lead to an overload of information for many non techies, which is why I decided to create this website.
It will share shopping lists for high spec Hackintoshes, tailored towards three different types of creative user.

HOW MUCH DOES A HACKINTOSH COST?

Between 1000 to 2000 Euro, depending on the specifications.
You will also need to budget for a monitor, mouse and keyboard, speakers and cables, depending on your set up needs.

THAT’S TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME. IS THERE ANY CHEAPER WAY TO GET ONE?

From time to time, I offer refurbished Hackintoshes, which are far cheaper than a new model.
They are the best way to get a high spec Hackintosh for less than 1000 euro. Sign up to my mailing list, and check back on this site for the latest offers.

AREN’T HACKINTOSHES ILLEGAL?

No. You can install any software you want, on any computer you want, according to the terms of it’s license.

WHAT IF IT BREAKS?

The individual parts are all covered by their manufacturer's warranty. Hackintosh Berlin also offers a 2 year service warranty on all of the computers we create.

CAN YOU FIX MY MAC?

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

CAN YOU GET ME A CRACKED COPY OF PHOTOSHOP/ABLETON LIVE/FINAL CUT/OTHER?

No. Hackintosh Berlin supports Open Source software whenever possible, and purchased software when not.
All software that runs on a Mac will run exactly the same on a Hackintosh.
